The Red Cabins is a family-owned and veteran-owned business.
Jacob grew up doing rental property in Louisville, KY where he met his wife, Gabby. They are 1st generation rock climbers, rappelers, canyoners, and hiking enthusiasts. Once they started having children, they knew they had to find a way to pass on the love for rock sports to their next generation.
Jacob and his climbing partner, Brian, had the idea to acquire and protect a piece of this natural beauty. They purchased a private rock wall and began building a cabin to allow them to climb through all stages of raising children. They discovered very quickly the difficulty of self-managing a rental cabin from a far. Jacob and Gabby decided to go all-in and move to ‘the Red,’ to start a management company that reflected what they care about — family friendly, safe, locally sourced building materials, and outdoor features withing walking distance. They also treat their guests with locally produced products, consumables, crafts, and activities as part of the cabin stay.
Since Jacob serves in the military and has a family of four, he understands time is precious and wants to help provide a retreat for your family also. The Red Cabins is growing and now has over 30 acres of private bolted rock wall, waterfalls, overhangs, and nature trails in Red River Gorge.
